Snooze has a long history of helping Australians get a better night’s sleep. As we walk towards the future, our aim is to keep doing what we do best with an unwavering focus on sustainability.
In every Snooze store, you will find sustainable and thoughtfully made products across our furniture, bedding and linen ranges. We continue to work closely with our suppliers and manufacturers to develop more sustainable products and packaging. We are also partnering with visionary social enterprises and organisations to help find alternative disposal options for pre-loved mattresses.

Snooze is passionate about supporting Australian businesses. We are proud to offer a wide range of locally made bedroom furniture, mattresses and bedding while continuing to grow and expand our offering.
Over 80% of our mattresses are made in Australia whilst over 70% of our bedroom furniture is made in Australia too. The majority of Snooze quilts are locally produced.
The timbers sourced and used in our furniture ranges are PEFC approved and FSC certified.
PEFC stands for the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification which is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organisation. It promotes sustainable forest management through independent third party certification.
The FSC, Forest Stewardship Council, is an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organisation established in 1993. It promotes responsible management of the worlds forest.
We offer a range of mattresses to nurture growing families as well as indulge those who desire pure luxury. Mattresses made in Australia include Sealy, SleepTailor, Madison and Slumberland.

This is a wonder fibre, combining softness with strength to help provide warmth while being lightweight and eco-friendly. Unlike its wool counterpart, it contains no lanolin, meaning it doesn’t require chemical cleaning after harvesting, and is often a more suitable option for people with sensitivities to wool. Considered a luxury fibre, much like mohair and cashmere, Alpaca also has tiny air pockets that help improve breathability and repel moisture. In short, Alpaca fleece has an extensive range of benefits. Our Alpaca quilts are proudly made in Australia from farm gate to factory floor. The fleece is farmed locally, and the quilt is carefully crafted by an Australian company.

SoftLanding is a social enterprise company which provides employment to people otherwise experiencing barriers to employment. SoftLanding can collect your old mattresses and bases directly from outside your home address for a small fee. They help to reduce landfill as they recover components to recycle.
SoftLanding is available in Victoria, NSW and WA. BounceBack is available in South Australia. Please visit the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council to find accredited mattress and bedding recyclers in your state.

Every year, over one million mattresses end up in Australian landfill. This is a significant environmental problem of which the ABSC is determined to solve.
The ABSC is building a national network of approved recyclers, transforming end-of-life mattresses to valuable resources. The network has extended to include approved mattress recyclers in Tasmania, regional Western Australia and Far North Queensland.
ABSC Approved Recyclers are committed to safe work practices, transparency in recycling outcomes and ethical and responsible business operations. The map shows approved recyclers in your state.

The Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 is a Federal Act that requires businesses operating in Australia to report annually on the risks of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains. You can read our Modern Slavery Statement/s by searching Snooze in the Modern Slavery Statement Register.

Snooze partners with The Smith Family. The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity, helping Australian children in need to get the most out of their education so they can create better futures for themselves. Together, our goal is to help improve access to education, retention and academic achievement for Australian students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
You can donate at your local Snooze store, or online, and help make a difference to the life of a child.

Normally our preference is to support charities with a national footprint but given how dire this situation was we had to act.
In September 2025, ReLove reported their reserves of mattresses, bed frames and bedroom furniture were critically low. ReLOVE is a charity in NSW who help to re-home up to 25 families per week . 25 families fleeing domestic violence per week in Syd alone.
With the help of FutureSleep and G&G we donated over 100 items and helped many families start over in a new, safe home.
Coincidentally the ABC was reporting at the time of our donation and their program will appear on Compass in April 2026.

Snooze Queensland metro stores, together with sister company FutureSleep, partnered with BlockTexx to help divert pre-loved linens from landfill. There was in excess of 100kg of linen gathered from customers. BlockTexx is an Australian company which collects linens and converts them into valuable resources using state-of-the-art technology.
In February 2026, we are extending this program to include both Queensland and newcomer, NSW.

Snooze proudly partners with the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council.
The ABSC is continuing the development and implement of a whole of lifecycle product stewardship scheme for the mattresses and bedding industry. This is an industry facing organisation which has recycled over one million mattresses since its inception in January, 2024.

The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) is a not-for-profit organisation leading the development of a circular recycling economy for packaging in Australia.
You can view our APCO Plan here.
